Principal's Welcome

This is more than a school. This is a community. Our people make TNA what it is and we look forward to meeting you.

I am delighted that you have taken an interest in joining us here at The Nuneaton Academy. We deliver an academically rich curriculum, full of knowledge, supported by an excellent pastoral care system. I’m astounded by the work that goes into ensuring that pupils and their families are supported right from the moment they decide to join us, beginning with some key work with primary schools and gathering as much information as possible to ensure we can support pupils through their transition to secondary school.

Once pupils join our family, we have the highest expectations of them so they can achieve to the very best of their ability. Our knowledge rich curriculum not only provides pupils with what they need to achieve their best in examinations such as their GCSEs, it also goes way beyond this. The knowledge they absorb lasts a lifetime so they can go on to have an impact on the world they will enter when they leave us. Lessons are focused, with solid routines and our teaching style ensures not a minute is wasted in the pursuit of this knowledge.

Outside of the classroom, we have a strong extra-curricular programme to provide pupils with additional opportunities such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. In addition to this, pupils work on character education to ensure they leave us with gratitude, aspiration and courtesy.

This is more than a school. This is a community. If you decide to join us you will not only be a part of a wonderful community during your time here, you will ALWAYS be TNA. Our people make TNA what it is and we look forward to meeting you as soon as possible. If you want a school that is focused on creating successful futures for its young people, then this is the place for you.
