Permissions and Consent

Application for Leave of Absence in Term Time

Regulations only allow the Principal to authorise leave of absence in exceptional circumstances.  Requests for Leave of Absence should be made in advance and before any arrangements confirmed or money committed by completing the Leave of Absence Form.  The form MUST be completed by the resident parent(s)/carer(s) before requests will be considered and one form must be completed for each child.  Failure to make a request for a Leave of absence in advance will result in the absence being recorded as unauthorised

Photographic Consent

Occasionally, we may take photographs of pupils at the Academy. We may use these images as part of our displays and sometimes in the Academy prospectus or in other printed publications that we produce.  We will also use them on our Academy website, Facebook page and Twitter account.  To comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we need your permission before we can photograph or make any recordings of your child. The Consent Form for Recording Images of Children needs to be completed.

Bike Permit

If you child cycles to and from the Academy you and your child will be asked to sign a code of conduct.  Your child will be assigned a numbered bike rack and issued with a permit.

E-Safety

The Nuneaton Academy take E-Safety very seriously. The internet is something most of us use regularly and is a very useful tool for pupils to help with their studies.  The Nuneaton Academy expect pupils to agree to follow the User Agreement Policy each time they log on.

Educational Visits

The Academy encourages pupils to take part in the many Extra-Curricular Activities the Academy has to offer.  It is expected that the Parents/Carers will complete the Young Person Consent/Medical form and return it to the Academy prior to the date of the Visit/Activity.

School Bus 737 Service and 41 Stagecoach Service

It is the drivers responsibility to check pupils bus passes each time they board the vehicle and the pupils must ensure they carry their pass at all times. Any pupil found not to be carrying a valid bus pass will be refused access to the vehicle.  If you have lost your ticket, you need to contact the Academy where arrangements can be made to issue a temporary bus pass.  Any pupil found to cause damage will have their bus pass removed.
