IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING END OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support. We have had to make some very difficult decisions over the last week which have to go through a rigorous decision making process. I am very appreciative of the support received during this very difficult time that we are currently facing in education.
Sports Day update
Although there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel in terms of restrictions being lifted, we are still experiencing higher levels of staff and pupil absence than usual, mainly due to the need to self-isolate. With this in mind, we have had to make the very difficult decision to postpone our annual sports day this year, due to this absence, and in particular, specialist PE staff to oversee the delivery of the day. As you can imagine, we are very disappointed that we have had to make this decision, but we are very much hoping to schedule a date in the Autumn Term for this event.
Last day of term – Monday 19th July
I would like to remind you that our final day of term is Monday 19th July. We have made the decision to allocate this as a non-uniform day. We would like pupils, wherever they can, to bring in any uniform that they have grown out of on this day so it can be cleaned and other families can make use of it next academic year. Every pupil who brings in an item of uniform will be given a raffle ticket to win a prize during the day. On the subject of uniform, please be aware that we will be reminding parents of our uniform expectations for September before the end of term. Thank you in advance for your support with this.
A reminder that pupils will finish at the times below on Monday:
Year 10: 12.25pm
Year 8 & 9: 12.35pm
Year 7: 12.40pm
Pupils will be able to purchase food during their first break of the day and a reminder that the school bus will be leaving at 12.50pm.
